Matt W. Cody was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a boy, he pursued dual interests in theater and classical music, and went on to receive degrees in trumpet and conducting at UCLA. As a conductor, he was a private student of Michael Morgan and the late Samuel Krachmalnick.
Upon moving to New York, he rekindled his passion for theater and began serious training as an actor. He was a longtime member of The Studio under the tutelage and mentorship of Brad Calcaterra. He studies accents and dialects with Jane Guyer-Fujita, and is in demand as a voice-over artist, coaching privately with Doriane Elliott.
Matt is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity Association.
